I teamed up with Étienne "Ozymandias" Vézina, guitarist of my band Alpha Boötis, to cover "Poser" by SAND for the compilation "Hallucinogenic Bulb Forever: A Tribute To Dave Petersen" that I co-organized at the end of last year. This compilation is a tribute to Dave "Hallucinogenic Bulb" Petersen, the prolific Philadelphia-based noise artist and graphic designer who passed away from complications of polycystic kidney disease at the age of 29 on November 26, 2024.

Dave was truly one of the underground greats and an equally great friend to all who knew him. He left us far too soon, and he lives on forever in our hearts.

All proceeds from this compilation will be donated directly and continually to the PKD Foundation. As stated on their website, they are "the only organization in the U.S. solely dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease and improving the lives of those it affects." Dave's family has a prolonged history of PKD and have lost many of their own to the disease.

As his friends and loved ones, it is our duty to not only honour the legacy of the man who made our lives better simply for being in it, but to raise awareness for PKD and make an effort to ensure that no one else is taken from us because of it.
