Jesse Scott Hill, better known as "Jesse Scott," was born September 19, 1988 in the inner city projects of Oklahoma. Due to financial and legal issues, Jesse never enjoyed stability in his family life. His mother and father raised him at different points in his childhood and adolescence, which meant moving to five different middle schools and six high schools. Jesse used baseball to maintain some sense of normalcy and bond with his peers at each new school. The game taught him the importance of drive, hard work, and focus, opening new doors and opportunities for the young athlete. Though he was offered a partial NCAA Division I scholarship to play shortstop at Texas Tech, Jesse chose to put down his glove and pick up the acoustic guitar.

After turning down his college scholarship, Jesse threw himself into his musical dreams, which he had kept private during his high school years. "Music was something that I used to release stress, or talk to that girl I was too scared to talk to in person, or yell at somebody I was mad at. It wasn't for everybody to hear at that point in my life," explains Jesse. His desire to spread his sound grew after a tragic realization, "I always wanted to play a guitar, but I never really had a guide. Once I realized I wasn't any good at it, it was all I wanted." Jesse quickly rose to the challenge of playing the guitar like an "urban Bob Dylan."

Jesse's strong country roots combined with his love for hip-hop and natural pop hooks gained him radio success with his single, "Hey You." With the attention garnered from the first release, Jesse moved to California and landed a publishing and production deal. After relentless efforts in the studio to complete his first album, Jesse is teeming with excitement to drop his first mainstream hit. "FML"
