📍 About the B4391 – The Underrated Hero of Welsh Roads

The B4391 stretches between Llangynog in Powys and Ffestiniog in Gwynedd, passing through the Snowdonia National Park and some of the most remote terrain in Wales. Along the way, it skirts the edge of Lake Bala (Llyn Tegid) and climbs through the Berwyn Mountains, with vistas that rival roads in the Alps.

What makes it special?

Quietness: Far less trafficked than roads like the A5 or A470.

Driving Character: Fast-flowing sections, blind summits, off-camber turns, and hairpins.
