Hole 5 is a redesigned, medium-length dogleg par 4 that requires strategic positioning off the tee. The tee shot must carry a large fairway bunker on the inside corner of the dogleg (left). Success here is dictated by finding the corner to leave a short iron or wedge approach into the green. The green is one of the most challenging on the course, featuring severe contours and slopes. It is guarded by a massive greenside bunker. Players must be mindful of the pin position, as being on the wrong side of the slope can lead to a difficult three-putt. The hole rewards an aggressive, yet well-placed, drive.
