A Heartfelt Thank You to My Amazing Co-Hosts, Sebastian Nalls and Mike "Wojo" Wojciechowski! As I reflect on my journey 2024 with Where The People Meet TV, I can’t help but express my deep gratitude and respect for the incredible individuals who have stood by my side every step of the way. A huge thank you to Sebastian Nalls and Mike "Wojo" Wojciechowski for being more than just co-hosts—they’ve been true partners, advocates, and friends throughout this entire process.
When I first met Sebastian, I was blown away by his intellect and his passion for Evanston’s government. His run for mayor at such a young age, while still in college at Purdue, was nothing short of inspiring. Sebastian’s knowledge of our local budget, grounded in his background in finance and accounting, was exactly the kind of insight we needed to bring real substance to the table. His energy and wisdom lit up our mayoral debate on Evanston Live TV, and I knew then that I needed him on Where The People Meet TV. As a Policy Analyst working for disability rights at the state level, Sebastian is a true leader who brings more than just facts to the stage—he brings heart.
As for Wojo, our path crossed through a reporter at the Roundtable, and I was immediately drawn to his unwavering dedication to representing a conservative voice. Wojo’s background as a proud veteran, recipient of the Medal of Honor), family man, writer, and board member of the American Legion Post 42 made him an invaluable addition to our team. Through personal challenges, especially when his beautiful wife Debby faced health struggles, Wojo never faltered. He was always there for our recordings, showing up despite the personal hardships he was facing. His resilience and commitment to our mission spoke volumes.
What I’m most grateful for, however, is the way Sebastian and Wojo have had my back, especially in moments when I needed them the most. From the very beginning, I never planned on being a co-host. I wanted to stay behind the scenes, letting the platform amplify a diversity of voices and perspectives. But when the third co-host blindsided us with a vicious attack just two days before our first show at Northwestern, Sebastian and Wojo were the first to stand up for me. They defended me when I wasn’t even in the room and made sure I felt supported as I navigated a challenging situation in the 11th hour. It was a stressful time, and I had to make the tough decision to step in front of the camera while still managing everything behind the scenes. But with their support, I knew I wasn’t alone.
The beauty of what we’ve created is the diverse perspectives we bring to the table—three individuals from different backgrounds, age groups, and political viewpoints, working together for the same cause: community engagement. We didn’t always agree on every issue, but we respected each other’s voices, and that made our discussions richer and more impactful. Together, we’ve fought for the community to be heard, to be fed the information they need, and to engage in meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most.
The strength of our team only deepened when Wojo faced the heartbreaking loss of his wife. In that time of grief, Sebastian and I showed nothing but compassion for our dear friend. It’s moments like these that truly define leadership, and I am so proud to have them both as co-hosts and as leaders in this movement.
Sebastian and Wojo, I can’t thank you enough for your unwavering support, your dedication, and your belief in the vision. You have helped make 2024 something truly special. You are the heart and soul of Where The People Meet TV, and I have nothing but the deepest respect for you both. You are leaders anyone would be lucky to have on their team.
Sincerely,
Meleika Gardner
