Going bald for a cause | Brave the Shave event shows support for kids with cancer

Students at Bowling Green State University came out on Sunday for a brave the shave-a-thon!

The annual event is hosted in partnership with St. Baldricks, an organization that raises funding for child cancer research.

Here, anyone can come and support. Whether by shaving their head, making a donation or volunteering.

"We're trying to normalize being bald. Make it fun, make it cool, and we're also fundraising for the organization," said Alex Bakhaus, Coordinator for Leadership and Administration at BGSU.

Over the last 12 years, BGSU has raised over $127,000 and shaved over 700 heads.
