One thing many tractor owners are unaware of is the danger of an unbalanced load. If you're using a loader on your tractor, you're going to need to consider adding weight to the rear, and there are several ways to accomplish that. Today we're looking at how to install wheel weights, which add a bit of counterbalance, and also assist with traction which is needed on slick surfaces like snow or ice or mud. These are simple pieces you can install yourself, and we'll show you the step-by-step instructions in the video (we're attaching them to a John Deere 1025R). You'll need no more than thirty minutes total and you can install them yourself, though at 70lbs each you might find yourself appreciative of a second set of hands. The only tools you'll need are two 3/4" sockets.
