Kandawgyi Lake is one of the two major lakes in Yangon, located east of the Shwedagon Pagoda.
Water from Inya Lake is channeled through a series of pipes to Kandawgyi Lake.
It was created to provide a clean water supply to the city during the British colonial administration.
The lake has a depth of 20 to 45 inches and is surrounded by the Kandawgyi Nature Park and Yangon Zoological Gardens.
In 2012, the park hosted Ice Wonderland. The Karaweik is a famous icon along Kandawgyi Lake's shores.
The weather is really hot; even though it is the rainy season, our country is still one of the hottest.
