How to mix Greens using Yellow and Black

Why mix greens using yellow and black? These combinations make excellent greens for landscape painting. They are very natural and can easily be used in landscapes.

I used a variety of yellow oil paints that I have collected over the years and mixed them with Ivory Black and Lamp Black. I also used a cheap Titanium White oil paint to make lighter versions of the greens that also made lovely, natural greys.
