In the sweltering summer of 2008, Anthony Foster, a convicted cannabis dealer, stepped out of his apartment at Cromcastle Court in Kilmore. It was 1:45 pm, and he was heading out to meet his partner, Joanne Ryan, to pick up their two sons from creche. Unbeknownst to him, a gunman in a hooded top lay in ambush. As Foster descended the stairs, his attacker sprang into action, firing a single, fatal shot to his face. Foster died instantly, collapsing to the ground with a baby’s bottle still clutched in his right hand.
