Three of my favourite things. Actually, four - the sum of the parts.

1. Mick Brierley winds pretty much all of my pickups for me. He is renowned in Australia and overseas as an A-list go-to when it comes to custom or vintage winds. These are Mick's Jag Pickups, tweaked to my taste and total satisfaction. I can tell you that they're an A3 bridge and A5 neck, and that they're around the 6k output mark with heavy formvar coil wire. Beyond that, Mick doesn't give much away (understandably) so you'll have to hassle him for more info. Want to buy some? Visit the link above and let Mick know you want a set of the Burgs Jag Pickups.

2. Hard Road Guitars. Paul Kneller hails from beautiful (mostly) Queensland and is fast earning a reputation as one of Australia's best custom builders. This Jag-style guitar we dubbed the "E-Type" thanks to the stick-shift pickup selector (Free-Way) was deliberated over by the two of us for weeks. Paul has delivered big time with my picky specs and requests. You've probably seen this guitar in previous videos and I can guarantee you'll be seeing it again. Paul and Mick Brierley often work in tandem to deliver the ultimate custom machine.

3. Labros Bogthanis has been a friend of mine for some 10 years but has only relatively recently put his Achillies Amps business into full swing. The amps are amazing, his attention to detail almost unparalleled and I'm more than honoured to 1. represent him on social media and 2. use these beautiful creations. This Blackface Deluxe is Serial Number 1 but I'll bet it's already garnered a few orders from the brief exposure it's had on this channel. I know I want one...Badly!

There it is, folks.

Other people to thank are Mastery and Free-Way for their contribution to the world of hardware and electronics. Also Eventide and Kirk Hammett's new pedal company.

The amp was miked with a Shure SM57 and I mastered the audio in Pro Tools with Waves Limiting (L3-16).

Rock on!
