The "Leaving violence payment" of $5,000 will help women escape abusive relationships with money for services, risk assessments and safety planning. But does financial support work? Estimates published by the WHO indicate that globally about 1 in 3 women worldwide have been subjected to physical partner violence in their lifetime. So, what can be done to deal with this?
