WEST BRIDGEWATER — A West Bridgewater mail man is delivering a lot more than mail these days — he has added sermons to his resume.
John McGrath is the founder and pastor of the newly opened Voice of Truth Church, a non-de nomination Christian church at the Glad Acres shopping center on Route 106.
McGrath has also been with the West Bridgewater Postal Service for 14 years, a position he said, that keeps him on his toes, literally.
"I was delivering the mail and just thinking that there had to be something more to life than this," McGrath said. "To me it was so de pressing to just go to a job, but I didn't see any possible way to get into the ministries with a wife and five kids."
So he started asking the peo ple along his route what they would think if he were to begin the church.
"I asked them if they would come if it did happen," said Mc Grath, who's held the same deliv ery route for most of a decade. "I was overjoyed when many of them said they would be glad to."
