Suzuki Ignis 1.2 GLX Review - Rethink Normal

Описание к видео Suzuki Ignis 1.2 GLX Review - Rethink Normal

While many budget vehicles tend to be somewhat dull and un-exciting, this is certainly not the case when it comes to the new Suzuki Ignis compact SUV.

For starters, the Ignis offers a youthful, trendy styling profile that is unlike anything else within the segment. The Ignis also offers very impressive space on the interior and a ride height with 180 mm of ground clearance, a certainly impressive figure for a compact SUV/Hatchback which also comes in at a very affordable price.

Bold is also the way that it goes. The Ignis is powered by a mere 1.2-litre motor with just 61 kW and 113 Nm of torque. Small figures I'm sure that you'll agree, but with its lightweight body, it remains light and nimble on its toes. The suspension set-up remains firm and planted through the twisties while balancing impressive levels of comfort.

The 5-speed manual gearbox is smooth and light to response, with the Ignis also being offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Suzuki claim combined fuel consumption figures of just 4.9 L/100 km (AMT) and 5.1 L/100 km (manual).

The body profile remains small, with charming, cute and fun looks, this is bundled with an interior which can only be described as incredibly spacious. Despite the compact body, the interior is actually deceivingly large. A high roofline and clever ergonomics help make the Ignis incredibly comfortable and spacious all coupled with some clever styling touches, which includes the same decal pattern seen on the rear pillars being continued within the dashboard design.

Form also follows function with a boot which offers 260-litres of capacity with the seats folded-up and seating which can drop flat in the conventional, yet functional 60:40 split making loading of varied size objects very easy.

The Ignis also enjoys a wealth of safety and comfort features across the range, including a USB port for media, 3.5 mm aux port and ABS, as well as EBD as standard, front airbags and electric windows both front and rear are also available.

Much in keeping with Suzuki's drive to offer affordable, practical and fun cars, the Ignis fits perfectly into the brand's current line-up. A wealth of standard features, impressive interior space and compact city dimensions make it the perfect compact city car with added levels of practicality.
