Origin of CAN protocol

Описание к видео Origin of CAN protocol

CAN stands for Controller Area Network, invented by Robert Bosch back in 1983. A CAN bus is a vehicle bus designed to allow microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other's applications without a host computer. Later Intel and Philips produced the first CAN bus controller chips in 1987 namely Intel 82526 and the Philips 82C200.

This video focuses on the topics like, why we need CAN bus in automobile, how it has been evolving in the industry and what are the fundamental needs of CAN bus invention.
