On March 7, 2018, the Confucius Institute U.S. Center in Washington DC hosted a panel of internationally-renowned thought-leaders to discuss opportunities for partnerships between the U.S., China, and Africa for private-sector growth. Speakers included:
• Ambassador Reuben Brigety (Moderator), Dean of George Washington University Elliot School of International Affairs, Former U.S. Ambassador to the African Union;
• Her Excellency Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, Ambassador for the African Union to the United States;
• Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders, Former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Congo and Nigeria, Author of "The Rise of Africa’s Small & Medium Size Enterprises;"
• Ms. Irene Yuan Sun, Engagement Manager at McKinsey &Co., Author of "The Next Factory of the World: How Chinese Investment is Reshaping Africa."
