We invited guitarist and composer Sarah Lipstate to Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles to test-drive the new Fender Vintera II ‘70s Jaguar.

The Fender Vintera II '70s Jaguar pays tribute to a transitional time in Jag history when Fender introduced maple fingerboards to the short-scale offset. The '70s Jaguar, available in Vintage White (seen here) and Black, features a pair of vintage-style early-'70s single-coil pickups, an alder body, “C”-shape maple neck and a 7.25" radius fingerboard with 22 vintage-tall frets.

Known for her extensive use of effects pedals and bows, Lipstate performs and records as a solo artist under the moniker Noveller and is also the guitarist for Iggy Pop and the Free Band.

Lipstate remarks, “I really love the sparkly tonality you get with the vintage-style pickups. The aesthetic of it completely charmed me. The maple neck with those black block inlays, the vintage specs…they really nailed it on this one.”
