Nandi hills is a must see place near Bangalore. Wonderful Journey. Wonderful pictorial spot. Awesome view.
This place is 70KM approx. from Bangalore Bus Station/Rail station. Whatever you choose you must reach before sunrise as this is is the wonderful view from this hills.
Start early 4 o'clock and you will reach in 1.30 hrs to the place. I believe you will be amazzzed with the view. Route: Bangalore---Hebbal (Hyderabad route)---Devanhalli (Airport)---take left (Nandi Hills Road) --- travel for 20KM. Nice road and direction are available, no confusion.
Attractions: Totally non commercial place. Just go and enjoy the view. You will be entertained by Natural sites. Parks for children, a old temple, valley view and obviously sunrise.
Best time to visit: All year, though if you’re one of those who enjoy rain : May-July ; fog: Nov-Jan

Nandi Hills, or Nandidurg, is a hill fortress in the south Indian state of Karnataka. Tipu Sultan Fort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings. Prisoners are said to have been thrown to their death from Tipu’s Drop, now known for its panoramic views. Local Hindu temples include the hilltop Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple, guarded by a huge statue of a bull (nandi).

June and july are perfect time to experience nandi hills Bangalore with fog.
