【Chiptune Eurobeat】Night of Fire - PC Engine/Turbografx 16 Cover【Deflemask】

First and foremost, Yes, I'm a big fan of Eurobeat, albeit I'm still quite a newcomer to the genre, I've only known it for a few months, and yes, I was introduced to it by Initial D (Don't ask me about the show though, I've only watched 1 episode of the first show and a few random scenes in youtube videos, I also know next to nothing about cars)

Ever since I've acquainted myself with this absolutely wonderful Musical genre, I've wanted to make a chiptune cover of some Eurobeat song, the problem is, they're quite complex and not the easiest ones to grasp the note progressions and the little intricacies or whatever, so it took me a while to really 'get' what makes eurobeat what it is, and then try to cover it by ear...
This was also the first time I've tried to cover a non-video-game song, and it's worth mentioning that I've left some minor details out of this cover because I just couldn't do them justice as of right now, I have yet a lot to learn...

This time around I tried covering Night of Fire by NIKO on the Turbografx 16 soundchip. This was one of the first Eurobeat songs I've ever listened to (The second in fact, the first was Running in the 90s of course), and this was the one that sparked my love for the genre, so I'm very fond of this song and I listen to it quite often!
Still not quite my favourite though, and I think I might cover a few more Eurobeat songs when I feel like...

Since I almost always put gameplay footage in my music cover videos, I found it appropriate to put footage of my favourite racing game in this one, Top Gear 2 for the Super Nintendo!
I was tempted to put Victory Run footage in here because, you know, it's on the Turbografx 16, the same system I'm making this cover for, but Victory Run just isn't very good... I also thought of putting Outrun gameplay in here, also on the Turbografx 16, but Outrun's music is just too iconic to be replaced with something else, and none of its music is at all like Eurobeat, they're much more relaxing, this here is high-energy stuff! So I put Top Gear 2, and I think it's quite fitting, I mean, Top Gear 2's soundtrack is already kinda-sorta Eurobeat-esque, especially the Canterbury Plains theme, which is the stage shown in the majority of this video...

Oh well, sorry for rambling, I hope you enjoy the video ^^
