Cinematographers are, in short, in charge of the camera and lighting in a shoot, be it for a film, an advertisement, or a YouTube video. However, cinematographers have a much larger role- they need to capture the Director’s vision. By creating the look, color, lighting, and framing for every single shot, cinematographers are the artists behind the lens.

Jay Oza is a professional cinematographer known for his work on Gully Boy (2019), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), and Rang De Basanti (2006). He shares his experience with us in this short film.
