2024 Proton S70 review in Malaysia (feat. Civic FE) - The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Expectations

The Proton S70 is now one of only four - FOUR! - C-segment sedans currently on sale in Malaysia (and the only non-Japanese model).

The rest? Well, they've been defeated, everyone of them, mostly by the Honda Civic. In this realm, the new and insanely good Civic FE sedan is basically the final boss, and the new S70 has walked right onto its turf. Can it put up a fight?

(FYI: We initially booked the Civic 1.5T RS to appear in this video alongside the S70, as that would be a more direct comparison in terms of powertrains. However, nearing the shoot date, Honda Malaysia needed that specific car but said we could have the RS e:HEV instead)
