Here's a rather dark custom event for TNO. This one being what could plausibly happen should either the Great Asian War drag on for long enough, or Gao Zongwu fails to successfully consolidate China. The end result being not just a new age of warlordism that not even the Japanese could fully control but a potential breakdown of Chinese society that would make the Cultural Revolution look tame. Sufficed to say, this is cursed.

For some trivia, the image is from the Cultural Revolution, showing the wonton burning of relics and other pieces of Chinese culture. Meanwhile, the quote is from the opening lines of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", with the response being is a reference to the final lines. The warped music is from one of oldest known recordings of the "National Anthem of Republic of China" (    • Видео   ), with Chiang Kai-shek's voice being from a British Movietone newsreel circa 1929 (    • President of China   ).

The ending clip, coincidentally, is from a series of fragmented films taken during both the Chinese Civil War and Second World War (    • WAR SCENES IN SHANGHAI DURING THE 1930'S -...   ).
