Описание к видео How To Land An ESQUIRE | 360° Interactive Cockpit | Warm Up

Really working hard to land these pieces today. Maybe too hard, hah! The end of WAWDWCBD definitely hit that out of control tempo where I've lost most of the groove. I have to try and stay more focused and not let it get that far away from me....

Thank You, Guitar also felt rushed if not necessairly fast. Like I said in the last warm up session, I want to increase my precision. There are still some attacks I feel like I am just closing my eyes and hoping I hit it. Making some changes is part of why I lost it at 14:53. When the main theme comes back at this point, I had been playing it in a variation, but I have decided to instead play the main theme as I play it initially. I haven't felt comfortable playing the variation in while. I think compositionally, I'm not losing anything by making this choice. Once I am able to train my brain out of having done it one way for 5 years, there should be a noticeable improvement in precision. There are things like this that I can see now and I've gotta think that if I can see it, I can land the plane...

I know I always list the 4G℞E Amp in the list of gear used in these recordings, but I thought I would mention that it is something I designed and built to provide a wide range of distortions and tones. More info can be found here (also if you'd like to buy one!): https://4gre.org/amp/

A word on content: I am playing What Are We Doing What Could Be Done and Thank You, Guitar as a warm up both to keep them fresh under the hand, but also to try and get a clean take recorded of Thank You, Guitar.

I'm playing the 9-String Esquire through a 9V adapter powered 4G℞E Amp into the Ampeg 810 as usual. Left channel audio is coming from the 810 close-mic'd with the Marantz PMD 222 and the right channel audio is the output of the 4G℞E Amp into a JDI direct box into a hardware limiter into the camera.

Thank you so much for accompanying me on my daily practice for 4/02/2024.

Sending many positive vibes,
-cyrus pireh
