Mike and I metal detected a Civil War battle site where soldiers were forced across the river during a mad retreat. We found very interesting Civil War tokens, a Flying Eagle cent, and even an Indian Head cent with our metal detectors. We also found many bullets and other artifacts. It was truly an awesome day metal detecting the river!
