While the 2011 Census provide that the Christian Population in Punjab is merely 1.2%, the reality is that this percentage is as high as 15%. In this video, we break down the three main reasons behind this.

First, Punjab has the highest Schedule Caste Population. Many Dalit Hindus converted to Sikhism to save themselves from oppression. However, due to increased casteism in the Sikh religion, many Dalit Sikhs are not converting to Christianity. Second, due to the downfall of Deras, many pastors are replacing the traditional demands met by Deras like Dera Sacha Sauda. Third, self-made godmen or pastors like Prophet Bajinder Singh, Ankur Narula, Harpreet Deol, Gurnam Singh Khera & Kanchan Mittal have convinced people of Magic Healing. They provide solutions to all kinds of problems in front of large gatherings and convince them that it is because of Jesus's blessings.
