With a daily movement of 3-4 inch, Hopar glacier in Nagar region, is fastest glacier in Karakoram Pakistan. And second fastest globally, second only to Antarctic glaciers.
I crossed this glacier in July 2024, and plenty of others, as i trekked to Rush lake, which is Highest Alpine lake (4694 meter ) in Pakistan. Trek to the lake is 2-3 days tough hike with steep ascends, glaciers and dry, barren and hot rocks.
This video is first part of our day one on trek in which we crossed Hopar glacier. Rest of video from day one is in another video.
