River Indie EV Test Ride Experience – Real City Ride Impressions

We took the River Indie for a real-world spin through the traffic-packed roads of Hyderabad to test its performance, comfort, and practicality.

🔋 Initial Acceleration & Throttle Response:
• Smooth and silent take-off thanks to the instant torque.
• In Rush mode, the pickup is strong – ideal for overtakes and flyovers.
• Eco mode is perfect for slow traffic and better battery life.

🛣️ Ride Quality & Comfort:
• The large 14-inch wheels handle speed breakers and potholes with ease.
• Wide seat is very comfortable for both rider and pillion – good for daily commuting.
• Suspension is tuned for Indian roads – neither too soft nor too hard.

⚡ City Maneuverability:
• The moped feels lightweight and nimble.
• Turning radius is compact, great for U-turns and tight parking spots.
• Parking assist (if available) helps in tight situations.

🛑 Braking & Safety:
• Disc brakes with CBS provide confident stopping power.
• Very stable at both low and medium speeds — no wobble.
• Side stand cut-off adds to safety while starting the scooter.

🔁 Range Observed in Test Ride:
• After around 15 km of mixed traffic riding, battery drop was just ~12%
• Real-world range expected: 90–100 km with regular use in Ride mode

• The digital instrument cluster is easy to read even under bright sunlight.
• Switchgear feels durable and responsive.
• Ride mode toggle, indicator beep, and hazard lights all work intuitively.
