March's BRAVE Communities Connection: Women's EmpowHERment Movements

🙌💃🏽 On March 24th, we gathered at Danzversity Studio from 2-4PM in honor of Women's History Month to celebrate women's creativity, leadership, and resilience from all walks of life with a BRAVE Panel discussion followed by guided meditative movements!

We had a powerhouse panel discussion with Kitty Mcleod of Ilumine Wellness, Mindy Hoffman of Women of Austin, Jaymie Orozco Howard of Danzversity, Candyce Hunt of 5 Minute Career Hack, Lydia Anoyke of HAYEC - Ghana, and Izazi Mosli of ASEAN Youth Advocates Network - Brunei! These lovely individuals shared their diverse perspectives about advocacy, gender equality, and encouragement for women’s rights! We were also joined by our BRAVE Young Leader Vice President, 18-year-old Faylyn Wang, who moderated the wonderful conversation and provided her own insights!

Then, our community showed off their fancy footwork during our guided meditative movement session led by Jaymie Orozco Howard and Kitty Mcleod!

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed time to build relationships, meet and shop at some pop-up vendors. Thanks to the following table vendors: 5 minute Career Hack, Align and Embody Coaching, Austin’s League of Women Voters, and City of Austin’s Small Business & Minority Resources.
