Hello and welcome, thanks for stoping by. Today I'm installing a URD Y pipe on the 3rd gen. Really I just trying to remove the low hanging exhaust that is constantly getting hit. This Y pipe relocates the tubing so no more low hangs and you end up with a nice smooth bottom. The smooth bottom was exactly what I was looking for. Any performance thats picked up is a plus and secondary to goals. It does sound a bit louder and more throaty when accelerating. More so above the three thousand RPM range. Its already loud in my cabin so no real difference in noise on the highway. I did not notice any more drone with my set up. I have a Gibson Catback installed. Your sound could be different depending on your set up. Overall no real issues with the install. Just some clearances that needed to be adjusted with the RCI skid plates. Nothing terrible.
