Описание к видео 3 Day | 50 Mile Wilderness Canoe Trip in Utah

Hey everyone! Welcome to Utah! We are so excited to be able to share with you the amazing canoe adventure we took on our recent USA road trip. In the beginning of April we drove to the beautiful area of Moab, Utah to explore and complete a 3 day canoe trip. This was the first time we had done an overnight canoe trip and we were very excited. We did the labyrinth canyon section because it was dog friendly and we had our adorable dog Maple with us. We started out our day at Ruby Ranch where we had spent the night before. Daniel drove the truck to Moab to get the shuttle, leave Maple and I (Starr) behind since dogs aren’t allowed to take the shuttle. We set off in the early afternoon after we had packed all of our belongings into the canoe. We packed pretty light since we weren’t sure how much room there would be in the canoe for the dog. It was a beautiful sunny day. We paddled the calm river taking in the towering red canyon walls surrounding us. It was very peaceful floating along with the only sound being the water splash as we paddled. We stopped on a sandbar for lunch and to let the dog get her zoomies out. It was a beautiful warm day and Starr would soon realize she was unfortunately burnt to a crisp under the hot sun. Even with SPF 50 she was bright red. We paddled a good distance before stopping for the night on a beautiful island. We set up camp and discovered that a beaver lived nearby. We had a lovely evening enjoying the golden light reflecting off the canyon walls. We woke up in the night to a clear sky filled with stars and had to take some photos. The morning was brisk but didn’t take long for the sun to warm up the canyon before we ate some dehydrated scrambled eggs for breakfast, packed up the canoe and head out. We paddled a bit longer before getting out to explore one of the main hikes we were looking forward to on our canoe trip. Bowknot saddle, a beautiful spot that showcased both sides of the winding river as it curved around a bend. We then paddled a little further before getting to our second hiking spot, an old mining location. After exploring the area we went to find a spot to eat lunch and plan the rest of our day. We noticed that the wind had started to pick up quite a bit so we decided to get a weather forecast on our Garmin. It was telling us that the wind would be very strong the next day. With gusts up to 50MPH or 90Km we definitely didn’t want to paddle in that. We decided to head to a camp spot before the wind got too crazy. We ended up coming across a group of Californians that Daniel had taken the shuttle bus with. They welcomed us with open arms. They made us dinner, gave us sun protection, and were a huge highlight of our trip. They were a wonderful group of people and we were so happy we ran into them to get to know them better. The next morning the wind had kicked up and we were all very glad to not be out on the river. We explored the area we were camped at, it had a huge area behind with many offshoots to hike. Thankfully someone in the group we were camping with found a stunning collection of petroglyphs. We definitely wouldn’t have found it without them! We hiked and explored the area, finishing the day around the fire sharing our highs and lows of the trip. Our final day came way too soon. We packed up and had a slightly windy morning paddling to the takeout spot. We arrived to mineral bottom sad to say goodbye. Daniel took the shuttle back leaving Maple and I (Starr) to wait for his return with the truck, and Pizza! Thanks for watching! We hope you enjoyed the video!
