Stay - St John-at-Hackney Dec 2015

In 2014, a group of women in Yarl's Wood detention centre formed a choir in collaboration with Music In Detention.

One of the songs the group chose to sing together was Stay by Rihanna.

In 2015, Lips choir performed the same song to a crowd of over 1000 people.

The song was dedicated to the women held in detention in Yarl's Wood, who do not have the freedom to sing to large crowds.

Lips Choir performed the song in darkness in recognition of the struggle of those unjustly imprisoned in detention centres in the UK.

Music in Detention still runs the Yarl's Wood choir most Monday's.
