Large diameter forged shafts are key components in the fields of heavy machinery, energy equipment and ship power, which are characterized by high strength, high reliability and long life.

Large diameter shaft forgings are shaft parts made by forging process, usually used for transmitting torque or supporting rotating parts, with diameters up to several hundred millimeters to several meters and lengths up to tens of meters (e.g. ship propulsion shafts).

Features:
High load carrying capacity: the forging process eliminates casting defects and improves fatigue and impact resistance.
Material diversity: carbon steel, alloy steel (e.g. 34CrNiMo6), stainless steel and special alloys (e.g. Monel K500).
Customized design: Geometry can be adjusted according to the needs of working conditions (e.g. stepped shaft, hollow shaft).

Applications
Energy sector:
Wind power spindle: need to meet the IEC 61400 standard, to withstand alternating loads (such as 4MW wind turbine spindle weight over 20 tons).
Hydropower spindles: 34CrNiMo6 spindles are used in the Three Gorges power station units, with a length of over 10 meters.

Ship and Ocean Engineering:
Propeller shaft: Monel alloy is resistant to seawater corrosion (such as aircraft carrier shaft system).
Crankshaft: low-speed diesel engine crankshaft

Industrial machinery:
Rolling mill cardan shaft: high torque transmission (5500mm rolling mill shaft system).
Turbine rotor: 30Cr2Ni4MoV steel, working temperature over 500℃.
