The very 1st look at the NEW Claas Jaguar wheeled 990 & 980 ( 40,000th ) forage harvesters by MarGe Models.

Both harvesters are to a 1000 piece limited edition run, following on from 3 instalments of Terra Trac and a general release 980.
Looking at the actual machines, both come powered by the same MAN D2862 V12 engine, boasting 850 & 935Hp respectively, these are monsters in the field.
Back to the model, Claas chose to include the new Orbis 750. This header has an actual working width of 7.6 meters and a weighing of 3.3 tonnes.
This is by far the best recreation of the Orbis 750. MarGe have built this almost entirely of metal and when coupled to the Jaguar both weigh in at 1.45kg which is nearly double that of any previously seen wheeled harvester in 1.32 scale.
Packaging is identical and smart with the models very secure inside. Wheels on either piece are super wide and certainly in proportion to the real thing.
As for finish, I will say it until I am blue in the face, paint looks better on metal than plastic. There really is no comparison with MarGe using metal parts at every opportunity and painted to perfection.

Functional items include the metal spout rotating up to 210 degrees, rear steering, feeder unit intake & the very impressive Orbis folding mechanism.
For future models it would be great to see opening side panels so fingers crossed that this feature will be incorporated into the new line of MarGe Claas Lexions as announced at the recent Toy Fair.

Overall, they don't come any better than this, highly detailed, great finish and without a doubt the 1/32 Harvester to get for the 2020 silage season !
