Always wanted to know how to make moody flower photography? I'll show you some tips and tricks to do this yourself at home.

I used a colored lamp to light the flowers. An alternative for a color changing lamp is a normal lamp with color gels in front.
I also used orbeez, or waterpearls. You can buy them online or at a flowershop nearby. Normally they're used in vases. They are really small. You soak them in water for a few hours and they will grow in size. Mine came with an airfreshener which I had already at home. You can also use waterdrops instead, but then they aren't that round and big.
The last thing I used is black perspex or acryllic. You can buy that at your local hardware store, or you can use a normal piece of glass (from a picture frame) and put something black underneath like paper or cloth.

With some photo's I used macro extension tubes in combination with my 50mm lens. If you don't have a macro lens or extension tubes, most smartphones can focus really close to a subject.
