it's been over a year since my first run of this monster with swaxe, and i've learnt a lot over this time.

in my last script i used the marionette spider to skip the phase 2 topple hp lock. after watching some gs/db/ls runs over the past year, i learnt that there is a minimum amount of time (approximately 30 seconds) that primordial must spend in phase 2 before toppling. if i was able to get his hp low enough in this period of time, he would skip straight to phase 3 from phase 2. previously i wasn't getting him low enough within this period, so i had to rely on the spider topple - during the spider topple he can't do his phase 2 topple, and upon standing up would be low enough to transition to phase 3.

this time i decided to try and hit this threshold without the spider by changing two things. i added in more morph loops/ZSD during phase 1, which would build up less mount than EBC. this would mean i would be doing more damage prior to mount than in the previous run, which means i would need to do less damage to reach the phase 3 threshold after mounting. i also removed hellfire cloak from my set and stacked more damage skills. the goal was to try and meet the damage threshold for phase 3 within 30 seconds of primordial entering phase 2.

the removal of hellfire cloak meant i had to learn a punish to deal with the phase 3 combo instead of cheesing it, but thankfully there were some ta wiki runs on bilibili that i could reference for this. i also learnt a better punish for the wing stab into wing sweep combos from these runs that abused primordial's weird tracking.

this run is very scripted after the mount, so the key just became getting a good phase 1 that would chip away as much hp as possible. the only ways it could go wrong after the mount were if i didn't meet the hp threshold and primordial toppled, if primordial was still binded down after phase 3 and didn't do its combo, or if i fucked up.

the majority of the time saved in this run is from not needing to grab the marionette spider, sheathe and throw it, and the duration of the spider topple. if there wasn't a stupid hp lock the run could go much faster and the script would be much less annoying to pull off.

in this particular run the air flinch is kinda weird and i have to scramble a little to secure the phase 2 ko after the mount, which may have cost me a couple seconds. also i miss the morph hit on the ground breath part of the phase 3 combo - if i landed this it should have meant that primordial would have died on the final zsd explosion and not the wyvern blade hit, which would save half a second. theoretically a sub 2'50 is possible with perfect play and better sequences.
