Cape Cod Canal Striper Fishing: Summer 2024 Kick Off - Part 1

Описание к видео Cape Cod Canal Striper Fishing: Summer 2024 Kick Off - Part 1

Early June 2024 was a grind at the Canal. First light bites were sporadic, quick and far & few between. The late spring season offered little in the way of stripers. A look at the tide chart for the first weekend of summer showed a slack tide right around first light with a low tide at the West End around sunrise. Combined with a storm that came across the state the night prior and a forecast for calm winds and foggy skies the conditions pointed to the ideal conditions for an epic morning bite. Significant amounts of bait and stripers were holding in Buzzards Bay and it would be the flip of a switch before all that life poured into the big ditch. Right on time at quarter past 5am I landed my first striper of the morning, coming in at 38"/20#. It was game on from there. I was fishing with a great crew including Joe, Chet, Rob & Oscar; over the course of the morning two waves of fish moved in with fish in the +40"/+30# class rolling through! This is Part 1 of 2, don't miss my next video where the big fish came to town including a PB for one of the crew!
