আখাউড়া-আগরতলা রেলপথে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ট্রেন চলাচল শুরুর অপেক্ষা শেষ হচ্ছে শিগগিরই। দিন-ক্ষণ চূড়ান্ত না হলেও সেপ্টেম্বরেই উদ্বোধনের কথা রয়েছে।কন্টেইনার ট্রেন চালিয়ে ডুয়েলগেজ রেলপথের কারিগরী পরীক্ষাও সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। এই রেলপথ চালু হলে ভারত-বাংলাদেশ ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য ও যোগাযোগে নতুন দ্বার উন্মোচিত হবে, আশা স্থানীয়দের।

The wait for the official start of train services on the Akhaura-Agartala railway line is coming to an end soon. Although the date and time are not finalized, it is expected to be inaugurated in September. The technical test of the dual gauge railway has also been completed by running the container train. Locals hope that the opening of this railway will open new doors for India-Bangladesh trade and communication.
