Here's a breakdown of the steps involved in the surgery:

👉 AntiVEGF Injection: As a preliminary step, Ms. Vaishnavi received an AntiVEGF injection. This injection is administered to prevent bleeding during the surgery, ensuring a safer and more successful procedure.

👉 Blood Removal: The surgery involved the meticulous removal of blood from all the internal membranes of Ms. Gupta's retina. Diabetic retinopathy can cause blood vessel damage and leakage, which can impair vision. By removing this blood, the surgeon aimed to restore better visual function.

👉 Barrage Laser Treatment: Following the blood removal, a barrage laser treatment was performed on a weakened spot in Ms. Gupta's retina. This laser treatment is intended to strengthen the affected area and reduce the risk of future retinal detachment, a severe complication of diabetic retinopathy.

Despite the complexity of the surgical process, it was carried out successfully by Dr. Pawan Gupta and the medical team at Eye7 Eye Hospital. Ms. Vaishnavi is now on the path to recovery, and the medical professionals involved are optimistic about the outcome.
