75th Independence Day: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the 75th Indian Independence Day. PM Modi spoke about India's Gati Shakti master plan to give a holistic push to India's growth. PM Narendra Modi also announced that the sainik schools will now be opened for the girls. This year, PM Modi was joined by India’s latest batch of Olympians who won medals in the Tokyo Olympics, including Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in the javelin throw. PM Modi visited Rajghat and also received the guard of honour at Red Fort.
