00:01:30 – Strategic Tillage: K-State soil scientist Augustine Obour reports on his research into strategic tillage as a remedy for herbicide-resistant weeds in a no-till cropping system: over several years, he has looked at the effects of a one-time mild tillage pass on weed control, crop yields and soil properties in common dryland no-till rotations, with encouraging results.

00:13:00 – Sorghum and Soybean Insect Pests: K-State crop entomologist Jeff Whitworth alerts grain sorghum and soybean growers about late-season insect pests that could still inflict costly damage on those respective crops...he has the latest on sugarcane aphids in sorghum, and an assortment of insects working on soybean stands, including stem borers which could lead to lodging problems at harvest time.
