Step back in time to Feudal Japan where Warlords battle for their Domain and Samurai train to perfect their Skills. Osaka Castle has a deep and long history, too much to do justice in a video. The Original Castle is ordered to be build in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This Castle looks very different from the Castle what is standing now. The vast area was expanded over time. In 1614 the castle was besieged and burned down along many other buildings in the area. Soon a new Main Keep was build and completed in 1630, only to be burned down again after ignition of gunpowder by lightning in 1665.

The model of 1630 is the blueprint of the very Main Keep or Tenshu we see today in Osaka and took hundreds of years to be rebuild once again. In that period other buildings got rebuild but the Main Keep as always been challenging. In 1931 it was decided to build the Tenshu in concrete, so ensure it's lasting live. In 1945 it was once again damaged heavily by American air raids and it took to 1995 to 1997 to restore it complete with elevators.

In the area there is much more to see with a welcoming Sakura season or Spring Time the park will be in full bloom with Cherry Blossom Trees. White and Pink Shades will make you feel welcome and warm. There are Food Stalls and Shrines as well, with Hokoku Shrine being the most popular.

The Castle is easy accessible from Tanimachi Station, with signs pointing you to the castle. Inside the castle you can even be driven up to the Castle itself and take in the view of Cherry Blossoms and the many Turrets and Historical Buildings inside.
