First things first, we actually need to download and install Optifine. Optifine is basically the shader pack loader that allows Minecraft to work with shaders packs. We have a complete guide on getting Optifine in the description above.

In short though, in order to download Optifine for BSL Shaders, click the download link above, and click “Download Optifine” on our website. Then, download the version of Optifine you want to use BSL Shaders with. From there, open the Optifine installer, and install Optifine.

Now, we can download BSL Shaders. You can find a link in the description above to download BSL Shaders on Modrinth. Once you are there, click on the “Versions” tab. Here, you will see all of the BSL Shader versions. Click on the version you want. Finally, click the “Download” button on this page, and BSL Shaders will begin downloading.

Next, we can move on to how to install BSL Shaders in Minecraft. This can be done by opening up Minecraft with Optifine. Then, from the main menu select “Options” and “Video Settings”. Then, you should see a “Shaders” button. Click that. This is your shaders menu.

In the bottom left of the shaders menu, you will see a “Shaders Folder” button. Click that, and the shaders folder will open. Drag-and-drop BSL Shaders into this folder to get it installed.

When you navigate back to the shaders menu, you will see BSL Shaders. Click on it here to activate it. If you want to change BSL Shader’s options, click on the “Shader Options” button in the bottom right. This is where you change all of the different shader settings in BSL Shaders. Everything from clouds to lighting to the swaying of the grass can be changed here.
