१ कोरिन्थी २ः९ अनुसार स्वर्गमा हुनुहुने हाम्रो पिताले आँखाले नदेखेको, कानले नसुनेको र मनमा नसोचेका कुराहरु हाम्रो लागि साँचेर राख्नुभएको छ भनेर धेरै पटक हामीले पढेको/सुनेको छौँ। तर यो वचनलाई विश्‍वासका साथ आफ्नो मुखबाट बोलेर घोषणा गर्दा पनि वास्तविकतामा हामीले त्यो प्रतिज्ञालाई अनुभव नगरेको हुनसक्छौं। यहाँ हामीले बुझ्नु पर्छ कि, त्यो प्रतिज्ञा परमेश्वरलाई आफ्नो सारा हृदय, प्राण, समझ र शक्तिले प्रेम गर्नेहरुको लागि हो। हामीले गरेको प्रार्थना र उपवास तब मात्र प्रभावकारी र फलदायी हुन्छ जब यसको जग परमेश्‍वरको प्रेममा बसालिएको हुन्छ। परमेश्‍वरप्रति नरकको डरबाट उत्पन्‍न भएको प्रेम, चङ्गाईबाट पलाएको प्रेमले र यस्तै अन्य संसारिक स्वार्थहरुबाट उब्जेको प्रेमले स्वर्गबाट हामीले नदेखेका र मनमा नसोचेका आशिषहरु हाम्रो जीवनमा ल्याउँदैनन्। जब हाम्रो प्रेम परमेश्वरको वचनको सत्यतामा आधारित हुन्छ, तब मात्र स्वर्गले हामीले नदेखेका आशिषहरु हाम्रो जीवनमा खन्याउँछ। परमेश्वरको सुरक्षा, भलाइ, प्रबन्ध, साथ र छुटकारा उहाँलाई प्रेम गर्नेहरुको लागि सजिलै उपलब्ध हुन्छन्। परमेश्वरलाई हामीले गरेको प्रेम उहाँको वचन प्रतिको हाम्रो आज्ञाकारितामा झल्किन्छ।

We have read/heard many times that according to 1 Corinthians 2:9, our Father in heaven has kept for us things that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined. But even though we proclaim this verse with faith, we may not experience that promise in reality. Here we must understand that the promise is for those who love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Our prayers and fasting are effective and fruitful only when they are founded on God's love. Love for God born from fear of hell, love born from healing, and love born from other worldly interests do not bring unseen, unheard and unexpected blessings from heaven. Only when our love is based on the truth of God's Word will heaven pour blessings into our lives that we do not see. God's protection, goodness, provision, support and deliverance are readily available to those who love Him. Our love for God is reflected in our obedience to His Word.
