Sound Blaster 16 Comparison

Just a video comparing the 5 sound blaster cards I have for the ISA bus, including, CT1770, CT2940, CT4180, CT2800, and CT 4380. I threw a SB16 clone from a Packard Bell computer in for good measure.

Since I don't have the required hardware to have the output the same on all the cards, I had to normalize the audio a bit, so this isn't going to be a noise comparison. The only direction I changed the volume is down, so if anything you'll be hearing less noise, depending on the card. I guess I was showing how the sound itself differed between the different variants of the SB16. Are the Vibra cards really that bad? no, probably not, if you're just trying to get sound in your dos games. If you're an enthusiast looking for the best quality of sound ever, then yeah, vibra cards probably won't be your cup of tea. Well, that's at least the conclusion I have come to.
