was held at Press Club Hafizabad on Tuesday, November 26, in which the members of the District Press Club exercised their right to vote. Mian Shaheed Alam Shaheed was elected Chairman unopposed, while candidate General Secretary Ali Nasir was elected General Secretary by getting 65 votes. His opponent Sher Ali got 05 votes. Babar Ijaz Siddiqui was elected President by getting 65 votes. His opponent Intikhab Haider got 05 votes. Amjad Murad was elected Vice Chairman by getting 65 votes. His opponent Amir Hamza got 05 votes. Hafiz Hasnain was elected Joint Secretary by getting 66 votes. His opponent Afzal Ahmed got 04 votes. Mukhtar Butt was elected Information Secretary by getting 64 votes. His opponents, Zulfiqar Ahmed, got 06 votes, Zafar Jamal was elected as the Office Secretary with 66 votes, while Mubashir Ranjha got 04 votes. Mirza Naveed Shahzad Mughal was elected as the Finance Secretary unopposed. Chairman Election Board Basharat Ali Bhatti and members of Election Board Sajid Abbas Awan and Ibrahim Babar conducted clean and transparent elections keeping in mind the constitutional requirements. After winning, the newly elected cabinet took out a rally from the Press Club to Fawara Chowk and Winiki Chowk. People of all schools of thought in the city also congratulated him on the brilliant and transparent conduct of the elections held under the supervision of the district administration.
