Ep 146 For The Sailing Fans - SXM to the BVI's

At the season got started, we were still doing a lot of boat projects. These never seemed to end, and I didn’t even make videos about some of them as it seemed like we were looking like a “project boat”.

But then we set off from Antigua to Dutch Sint Maarten, known locally by its airport code SXM. We had sour standing rigging replaced, installed a new stove, got a new AB Ribs dinghy, and much more. Not a day felt relaxed.

Then we picked up Alan and Wyatt when the Christmas airline debacle occurred. Over a thousand flights were cancelled as a northeast snowstorm blanketed much of the US. Viewers might remember Alan as a frequent crew member, and it was or honor to be able to shuttle them over to the British Virgin Islands, where they had a bareboat charter awaiting.

Anyway, once they took over the captain and crew roles on their Dufour monohull, we were left to buddy boat with them for over a week. It was great fun and great sailing.
