Return to Karazhan is here! Karazhan is back as a 5 man Mythic Dungeon in World of Warcraft: Legion, and it's no cakewalk. This Return to Karazhan guide shows you the key boss mechanics so you're prepared to clear new Karazhan in Legion!

This video shows Opera House: Wikket, the Maiden of Virtue, Attumen the Huntsman, Moroes, the Curator, the Shade of Medivh, the Mana Devourer and Viz'aduum the Watcher! Not shown are the Opera House: Westfall Story and Opera House: Beautiful Beast. The rumoured hidden secret ninth boss (Nightbane?). Return to Karazhan is available on Mythic difficulty only! There is no Mythic Plus Return to Karazhan, or Heroic Return to Karazhan so no Dungeon Finder. If you want to pug Return to Karazhan, head to the Premade Group Finder.

A full clear of Return to Karazhan took my guild 2 and a half hours, with an estimated standard clear time of two hours once we've had some practice. This dungeon is long! Legion Karazhan also has some difficult and interesting trash pulls. The Chess event from old Karazhan has been re-imagined into a trash fight not shown here. To pass the Return to Karazhan Chess, simply DPS down one piece at a time, don't stand on squares within an enemy chess piece's movable area and hit the king for 20 seconds after killing each piece.

My picks for most difficult fights in Return to Karazhan mythic are the Mana Devourer, followed by Viz'aduum the Watcher, followed by the Curator. Moroes is nerve-wracking but not difficult if you pull it correctly and only get one guest at a time. Share your favourite fight from Legion's Karazhan in the comments below!
