Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur

Описание к видео Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur

Kampung Attap, a pre-Merdeka village, is no regular village. No wooden houses here. No farming land either. Instead, very old govt offices and quarters still stand strong here.

Pentago House dates back to 1912 and it was owned by one of Loke Yew’s sons. Loke Yew was one of the richest men during the British Malaya era.

The Zhongshan building is one of the major attractions in Kampung Attap. Built in the 1950s, it used to be a home for families. It is a typical 4 storey shoplot style. Today, it is an artsy hub. There are art studios, library, record store, stationery shop, and cafes. The only challenge for you to visit each shop is to climb up and down the narrow staircase!

Tommy le Baker is one of the cafes located behind the Zhongshan building. Serves great sourdough sandwiches!
