Gale Garnett ia a New Zealand-born Canadian singer-songwriter and actress who made guest appearances on the 1960's television show '77 Sunset Strip'. She also pursued a singing career and in 1964 she had a No. 4 pop hit with the self-penned song "We'll Sing In The Sunshine". The B-side is another tune she wrote, called "Prism Song".

Gale also gave notable performances in the late-1960's Rankin-Bass film Mad Monster Party with the memorable tunes "Our Time to Shine" and "Never Was a Love Like Mine." Around this time she became more influenced by the counterculture, and had embraced psychedelic themes. She recorded two albums of psychedelic-inflected music with her band the Gentle Reign.

Even after retiring in the 1980's, she continued to make guest appearances on television shows and in 2002 she appeared in the sleeper hit 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'.
