Idols are Powerless: "Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are tied to beasts and beasts, weighed down" (Isaiah 46:1). The prophet mocks the idols, highlighting their inability to move or save themselves.
God's Sovereignty: "I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me" (Isaiah 46:9). God asserts His uniqueness and power, declaring that He alone is the Lord.
God's Plan: "I will make known my salvation, that it may be seen from the nations" (Isaiah 46:10, paraphrased). God reveals His plan to save His people and bring redemption to the nations.
God's Care for Israel: "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, my people, and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isaiah 46:4). God promises to care for and protect His people, even in their weakness.
